Biography of MatsaraneLeDj (Deeg Dip Entertainment).
Kabelo Matsarane Tshiloane a.k.a Matsarane Le'Dj born on the 30th October 1990 is an aspirational house Dj who aims to make BIG in the entertainment industry. I live in Kingsway. My love love for house began at an early age of ten. My uncle(Tebogo Tshiloane) would play his music, house music in particular when we woke up in the morning, got back from school in the afternoon and in the evening meanwhile having supper and cease when it was soapie time. He'd play the likes of Gate Crushers Meet Africa - Dj Fresh and Glen Lewis and although I didn't catch full swing on the music, it later on got me hooked and there was no turning back. I became more exposed to the music as time went on by with my uncle having to have purchased almost all Dj Fresh's albums (House of flavour 1 - 5) as he was a collector of good music. I had then started being a follower of music and had saved up enough Cash to buy my first record when Soul Candy Session 1 mixed by Dj Mbuso came out that featured : 1. Guadalupe - N'Bolo 2. Come With That - Brent Laurence 3. Piha - Ian Pooley / Magik J 4. Stomp Your Feet - The Crumpster 5. Your Love - Noel Nanton 6. Foulchette - SOHA 7. Hela Ngwanyana - DJ Mbuso 8. Vazilando - Oreja 9. 6850 Maluleke Street - Jerah 10. Thinking Of You - John Ciafone 11. Respect The Music - DJ Romain Feat. E-Man 12. Eternally - Can 7 Feat. Angela Caran. This album had a great influence on my love for music. As time went on by I had a passion to blend up music and started so doing on a friends Personal Computer in their bedroom as a hobbie and later became something I desired to do in public.. I then had a major interest in djing and learned blending on a computer programme that goes by the name “Virtual Dj”. After learning a thing or two on the programme, I then started hustling around for gigs with a friend, namely Xolane Mokwena A.K.A SEXY PEAR Dj as he was the one with Djing equipment (Laptop, Speakers, Amps...etc) . The passion for djing then grew bigger and bigger as time went by.. In 2007 I then learned djing on CDJs. I have been featured @ events like Miss and Mr Rosebank College and have played @ Big Dog’s pub and grill in Lakeside mall (Benoni), FrontSeat Lounge (Daveyton), Pule's Shisanyama (Daveyton), The Dawn/Jozi's Pub (Dawn Park), Plateau (Duduza), Lashka Pub (Daveyton)& Before Sunset (Wattville). Currently I’m playing in my neighborhood @ Veggie's & Roger's Car washes mainly on Sundays. As the great saying goes: “Charity begins at home”, I’ll always willingly play in my neighborhood, simply because that’s where I had my 1st crowed and that they gave me support by coming to listen to me play even though I was a nobody. Soulful House is what I best enjoy to blend, but versatility is my middle name as I have the ability to jump from one sub genre of house to another keeping the mass entertained.
Global Deep Connexion A3 (15-09-14) Mixed By: G'MZA (Daveyton, SA)
Julius Khoza from the streets of the East Rand, Daveyton. A genuine DJ and possibly your future favorite as he would describe himself. Born 15 March 1988 raised by his parents Emily and Lucas which are his greatest inspiration. Studied at Inkatha Ka Zulu Primary School and matriculated at Lesiba Secondary School then went to study Journalism and Media Studies at Demelin Benoni city campus.
He grew up in a musical environment because his father use to collect cassettes and records, he loved reggae and Rnb. He got exposed to house music when he was still in primary school. G'MZA had a friend by the name of Jabulani Mashigo who now goes by the name of Jabu Ndlovu, Jabu was a very spoiled boy and his parents used to by him Dj fresh compilations so he used to borrow them to G'MZA; When he remembers very well it was 2002 when Dj fresh released FRESH HOUSE FLAVA 5. His love for House music grew very Fast as he started listening to radio stations that were familiar; that played a lot of house music, stations like Yfm 99.2 when legends like the late Fana Khaba (Khabzela) were still hot on radio and they used to release CLUB Y SESSIONS presented by Dj Fresh and mixed by the late Dj Monde.
He had two friends who listened to the same music around his hood so he used to share music, talk about music and think of what they can do to influence everyone to hear what they always talked about because they used to think that they were some crazy dudes who have no hope. Then in 2008 they decided to form a group “The Funk Masters” it was Julius Khoza aka Gman aka Gmza aka (GmzaG), Mpendulo Gumede (Pezo) and Piet Thipe (Dj Formal), they started as resident Dj’s at a Tarven “Ebhandeni” doing Sunday sessions which gave them no hope but they kept holding on till they bought thier own sound system in 2010 then went to become resident Dj’s at Zake’s place.
In 2012 he decided to start doing mixtapes “Local Connection” which became a great success and a good exposure for him because he started gaining recognition and started getting bookings and friends from around the world since then he has played at places like House Web Sessions (Brazil), UJfm Urban Drive, House365Radio, Boulevard (Delmas), Quinta Carrope (Mozambique), Before Sunset (Wattvile), TheDawnPub, Scondas Bar, Kopano Sports Bar, Eyethu, 2 Tone, Swaziland, White House, Big Dogs, Bay Fm,033 (PMB), Zasha Lounge, Tony’s place, Zake’s Place, Fikile’s Place to cut it in short he can just say "I’ve been around".
